For ten years Rev. Michael served as a religious liaison specialist in a major municipal law enforcement agency in the northeast area. Religious outreach within his department included representing the agency in meeting religious and community leaders of various faith traditions throughout the municipality on behalf of the director of police and the commissioner of community affairs.
During this time Michael also served as the program coordinator for the agency's religious liaison program, that included well know clerics and grass root religious leaders. It was then that cohesive volunteering served as a link for various faith groups and their communities: this enabled the program to operate as a community response unit in times of community unrest, the program ranged from three hundred to five hundred persons.
